Incorporated in 2012, Omicron is a small business that provides agile software, programmatic, and engineering support services to the Department of Defense. The name Omicron comes from Computer Science: analysis of algorithms. Our collective background is rooted in tactical software systems. We understand that “seconds save lives,” so we provide quality, hard and soft real-time software systems built with a realistic, dependable process.
Mr. Bacon is co-founder and President of Omicron Research Corporation. His diverse career background includes private industry, a university research center, NASA, and Department of Defense in which time he has worked as a software engineer, technical lead, ScrumMaster, chief engineer, and principal investigator. Greg wrote proposals that have generated more than $1 million in research funding. He completed undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Alabama in Huntsville: B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics and M.S. in Computer Science. Greg is an FAA-certificated commercial pilot with an instrument rating.
